The Bike is a unique percussion instrument designed, crafted, and played by Seattle percussionist Sean Lane. It utilizes bells made by Gregg Keplinger and a preamp made by Rick Mullikin at Demeter Amplification.
Sean plays drums in bands and in the studio, works as a tech and in drum shops, builds, and perform on, his own percussion instruments.
He has opened for Sigur Ros, Brandi Carlile, The XX, Winona Judd, and Tortoise; performed, toured and/or recorded with Perfume Genius, David Bazan, Yppah, Hey Marseilles, Pickwick, Fences, Ivan and Alyosha, Anomie Belle, Mansions, Silver Torches, Cataldo, Andy Fitts, Henry at War, Ruler, Tiny Messengers, Novatone, and Conservative Dad.
